ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Kimberton Coffee Roasting Company was founded by Steve Polignano. Steve has been studying the Specialty Coffee Industry for 10 years. The trend toward Specialty Coffee was the subject of his Master’s Thesis back in 1994. After leaving a successful career within the Science industry, he set about bringing top quality coffee to the local communities. His philosophy is simple and time-tested: Roast in small micro-batches to assure maximum attention to detail and "Freshness Counts!"

Once Roasted, coffee begins to loose its flavor within only 30 hours. Steve knew that by bagging coffee immediately after the Roast into the highest quality High-Barrier bags and distributing to his customers immediately, the fresh flavor of coffee could be preserved. At Kimberton we sell what we roast within days, not weeks! That’s why when we say fresh, we mean it!
